To address this need, MSYBB created three programs First, a Skills Clinic designed for kindergarten through first graders who are looking to learn the fundamental skills needed. Second, Junior Sailors is a program that combines fundamental instruction with learning how the play the game. This will be done with instructional scrimmaging before players play in a competitive game. This program has two levels, an introductory level for 2nd and 3rd graders and a intermediate level for 4th and 5th graders. Third, the 6th grade Instructional Basketball League starts to prepare students for middle school basketball with individual and team skills building upon what they learned in the Junior Sailors program.
